Gems Harbor Fee Structure & Policy

1. Overview

Gems Harbor is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and performance-based system that supports professional sellers in the global gemstone trade. This policy defines all applicable subscription fees, commissions, and listing charges associated with selling on the Gems Harbor platform.

2. Subscription Level Store

To encourage excellence and reward seller performance, Gems Harbor operates a tier-based Subscription Level Store. Each level determines access to platform features, visibility, support priority, and applicable fees.

Notes:
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable.
  • Sellers may upgrade or downgrade their subscription at any time.
  • Subscription levels are reviewed monthly and upgrades may occur automatically based on performance.

3. Commission on Successful Sales

  • Gems Harbor charges a 5% commission on the final sale price (excluding shipping, taxes, or additional handling charges).
  • The commission is automatically deducted once the transaction is successfully completed and confirmed by the buyer.
  • A “successful sale” is defined as any transaction where full payment is received and the item has been delivered without dispute or refund.
  • Any cancelled item will not be charged any commission.

Example:
If an item sells for $500, the commission will be $25 (5%), and the seller will receive $475 (less any applicable payment gateway fees).

4. Listing Fee

  • Each item listed for sale on Gems Harbor incurs a non-refundable listing fee of $0.65 per item.
  • The listing fee is applied upon submission, regardless of whether the item sells.
  • Sellers can list an unlimited number of items, provided they comply with Gems Harbor’s Listing and Authenticity Policies.

5. Payment Processing Fees

Third-party payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, or local providers) may charge separate transaction fees. These charges are not controlled by Gems Harbor and are borne by the seller.

6. Refunds, Cancellations, and Disputes

  • Subscription and listing fees are non-refundable.
  • Commission fees are refunded only if a transaction is cancelled prior to completion or if a full refund is issued to the buyer for verified authenticity or delivery issues.
  • Cancelled items will not incur any commission charge.
  • Repeated cancellations, disputes, or refund requests may result in temporary account suspension or downgrade in subscription level.

7. Fee Deductions and Payouts

  • All applicable fees (subscription, commission, and listing) are automatically deducted from the seller’s account balance.
  • Seller payouts are processed within 5–7 business days after successful order completion and buyer confirmation.
  • Gems Harbor reserves the right to temporarily withhold payouts in cases of fraud investigation or unresolved disputes.

8. Policy Updates

Gems Harbor may revise its fee structure periodically to reflect platform improvements, operational needs, or market trends. Sellers will be notified via email and on the Fee Policy page at least 14 days prior to any change taking effect.
